FOSTWOM is an Erasmus + project (2019-2022) that use MOOCs to propose STEM subjects free of stereotyping assumptions on gender abilities with the purpose to mitigate the effects of stereotyping about gender-based STEM ability and to raise the number of female students and learners attending courses in the areas of STEM
The partnership involves 5 European Universities: Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (France), Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal), Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (Sweden) and, of course, Politecnico di Milano-METID and two high schools from Italy (IIS Benedetto Castelli) and Portugal (Colégio do Amor de Deus).
The project aims are:
- develop a TOOLKIT to design, produce and validate STEM MOOCs under a gender balance perspective;
- create one collaborative and graduate STEM MOOC and one transversal MOOC aiming to explain the methodology through a gender balance perspective;
- promote intensive training regarding the design and production of gender inclusive STEM MOOCs and their implementation in face-to-face classes.
