We are proud to announce that “Embracing Diversity” MOOC has been shortlisted among the 14 finalists for the Airbus GEDC Diversity Award. The goal of the award is to increase diversity among the global community of engineers.
“Embracing Diversity” is the MOOC of Polimi Open Knowledge (POK) which explores gender and sexual diversity as drive of innovation and creativity. The MOOC analyses gender stereotypes and proposes inclusion models in academic, social and corporate environments for women and LGBT people.
Furthermore it focuses on the effects of discouragement and self-exclusion on female talent in science, technology, engineering and math, known as STEMs, which has big repercussions in the work world and shares some actions useful to motivate girls to study STEMs.
