What’s an AIbook?

An AIbook is a medium based on Artificial Intelligence. It is, in every respect, a “text”—a unit of communication that possesses coherence (internal logic) and cohesion (linguistic connections between its parts)—but in a digital, multimodal, and conversational dimension.

The AIbook “Imparare con l’IA” is designed to help users learn how to learn with Artificial Intelligence. Following the Smart Learning Design methodology, which structures the learning journey into key events (exploration, re-elaboration, application, discussion, production, consolidation, and metacognition), it offers strategies not only for effectively using Large Language Models like ChatGPT but also for enhancing one’s learning abilities in the process.

In AIbooks, the concept of authorship is completely transformed: there is no author in the traditional sense, but rather a creator, who does not simply write original content but designs and continuously enriches it in a dynamic and interactive way.

The creator also defines the operational rules of the AIbook, acting as a true designer of the interactive user experience.

The creators of the AIbook “Imparare con l’IA” are Susanna Sancassani and Daniela Casiraghi.

An AIbook does not have a traditional index but rather an Indaginario: a corpus of questions that is regenerated with each access, dynamically defining its scope of use.

The Indaginario is the conceptual core of an AIbook—a collection of fundamental questions that shape the boundaries of its knowledge. Unlike a traditional index, which organizes content in a hierarchical, fixed, and sequential manner, the Indaginario functions as a dynamic network of key inquiries.

In books, the bibliography serves to acknowledge sources, ensuring transparency and scientific rigor while allowing readers to verify information and explore topics further.

In an AIbook, this function is performed by the Rigzomion—a rhizomatic system of content and rules that organizes knowledge through dynamic connections.
